A session of ME! by: Anginet Photography

I have photographed my good friend Anginet's (www.anginet.com)  family many times.  This time when she wanted a family session, I suggested a swap because *I* was looking for a "girls" (ie, me and my girls) session and a specialty session.  Anginet is the most AMAZING wedding and event photographer but she agreed to photograph my family and do a session of me doing one of my favorite things, running.  I am SO thankful to her for taking on the challenge and the results were so incredible!

A huge storm, we are talking hail, lightning and a downpour, rolled in right at the time we were supposed to meet.  We adjusted the schedule a bit, and then adjusted the location a bit and ended up with the most beautiful light! 

I am SOOOOO not used to being in front of the camera but Anginet made me really comfortable and relaxed and we had so much fun doing this!

Fresh

Ahhhh, a newborn baby is just about the sweetest, softest, best smelling thing in the world! :-)  I got the chance to photograph this little newborn, plus his adorable big brother and of course mommy and daddy the other day.  For the amount of time I spent with these little guys, they did AMAZING!!!  I loved my session with them!

spring sunny days

We really lucked out on this session!  We were lucky enough to have it fall on the most perfect day to be out this spring!  This family was so adorable and so relaxed and fun to work with!  I just told them to be themselves as we wandered around the campus at UC Boulder and I ended up with so many wonderful images of their family! 

 

This little guy is like a model!!  Just look at that face and smile!!

 

Little brother is equally as handsome and every time I look at his stare, it puts a huge grin on my face!

 

 

 

The one above just made my heart melt when I saw it!

This whole series were my favorite of the candid family shots!  They just all plopped down on the grass and I just moved around them capturing whatever came my way!

 

 

 

 

 

Thank you so much you guys!  I'm almost glad our first session got snowed out because I think we got a much better day on our second try!!  You have a beautiful family!

just wishing for spring

Family of 6 + 1

Big families are so much fun!  I love to see their dynamics and love the energy that 4 kids offer!  This family was really enjoyable to be around!!

The littlest one was so beautiful with a goreous floucy haircut and amazing brown eyes! She was super shy at first but once she knew I was "ok", we became good friends. ;-) 

 

 

 

The lone boy of the 4 was a doll!

 

 

The next girl was full of smiles and poses for me!  It's fun to see what a kid comes up with when they are doing the pose!  She did great!

 

 

The oldest girl was beautiful!  She was so caring to the younger kids, trying to make sure everyone was happy and taken care of.   The shot of her reading was as I was leaving and she was done for the day.  She had found a spot by a tree and was immersed in a book. 

Both of the shots below were my all time favorites of her. The first, she is so striking and I think really captures what I saw in her.  The second, her young smile and blowing hair were perfect for her age.

A fallish/winterish day

We met up later in the day to try to grab those warmer temps on this shoot.  It turned out to be a fairly decent day overall!  A gorgeous day for a gorgeous family...I'm a little biased though being they are some of our very best friends!  :-)

30 degrees and we don't mind!

It's always hit or miss here in Colorado this time of year. You never know quite what to expect. This family didn't mind!  Being an outdoorsy group was a huge benefit because when we met this morning in November, it was CHILLY!!

Football and Fall

Football was the "theme" of our shoot with my buddy Anginet http://www.ftdfp.com/  this time!  That's what I love about this girl, she's always coming with fun new things for me to photograph! We had a really chilly weekend so chose the later day sun to hopefully help the little ones stay happy and warm!  I love a LOT of what we got that day!  Here are some of my favorites!!

New Faces

My last post was about how fun it is to photograph old friends and I can assure you it's ALSO great to get the chance to photograph some new faces!  I love to meet new families, this was so no exception!  I had a great time getting to know this family as we wandered the trails of El Dorado Canyon.  The kids are completely adorable and I think they had a great time wandering, with me following behind with my camera always trying to capture those moment of pure cuteness!

I cracked up when I pulled up this shot!  We were going for a family shot but this interaction deserved the spotlight!
